Sinclair tartan kilt is made with acrylic wool. This kilt is adjustable with Leather straps and bukles are rustfree. We use highly quality matterial of kilt. Scottishkilts are traditionally associated with Scotland, Scottish tartans are a representation of a Scottish clan, and each Scottish family has their own tartan, distinguished by their surname.
SINCLAIR MATCHING SPORRAN: The Sporran is the pocket attached to the front of a kilt, and this is a traditional accessory to Scottish kilt
FLASHES: kilt flashes are worn on the outside of your kilt hose/socks.
FLY PLAID: A fly plaid is traditionally worn over the left shoulder of the wearer to sit at breast level.
8 YARD KILT: The extra material in an 8 yard kilt allows for deeper, crisper, and cleaner pleats that lay much flatter
STRIPE PLEATED KILT: To stripe is to have every pleat identical with a vertical tartan stripe centred on each pleat.
For anyone of Scottish ancestry, the kilt is a symbol of honor for the clan which they belong. First worn by those who lived in the Scottish Highlands, Today the kilt is the national dress of Scotland and worn by many people.
How to Measure Kilts How To Measure Kilt Size
Waist Size: Waist measurements should be taken at the navel level and the measurement must be tight. This is usually taken 2 inches higher than your hip bone or higher from where your trousers are usually worn.
Hip or Seat Size (Optional): Please put your feet together, then measure the broadest part of your hips. Ensure that your pockets are empty! It’s not necessary
Fell Measurements (Optional): This measurement should be halfway between the waist and seat (bottom). The fell is the distance from the waistline to the hip measurement line. It’s not necessary
Kilt Length: Please kneel on the ground, place the tape on the floor then measure up to your belly button. Remember that kilts shouldn’t be worn too long! Normally, your kilt length will correspond with the following guides. If it's significantly different, try taking the measurements again. If it's slightly different, then it could be down to preference or body shape. See our notes below for more info.
